The figure-skating debacle was interesting from my perspective. We were in France at the time and when I watched the French summary of the day's events they showed a clip of the Russians, but not the Canadians. I wasn't aware that anything was going down at all. Then I found the BBC channel ... flipping backwards and forwards, the Beeb was interested in little else and the French channel was showing the luge. Do the French have a conscience? As I said, interesting.

As for the Australian gold, take it wherever you can, I say. Well as long as "I" ain't Steve Waugh, I guess.
