The results for wittol are in. Again a round not without interest, at least from my side of the fence.
tswum receives 3 points for knowing the word straight off (in the wwftd queue) and my apologies for not including his entry which I thought was too close. Some excellent definitions from the board as evidenced by the spread of votes, with a few favourites. Hyla and fiberbabe with 3 each, and Flatlander, WO'N, Marianna, consuelo, and myself (Thanks RC) all picking up a point.
paulb, wordcrazy, Brandon, and Bobyoungbalt all chose the "correct" answer which was the acquiescent cuckold. The "What the hell do the rules say about this" situation this week was that Hyla pointed out half way through the voting that two answers were correct. In focussing in on the cuckold meaning, I had completely forgotten that wittol also has the secondary meaning of a witless person. As such, Bingley's entry of "not even a halfwit" (correctly semi-attributed by tswum) scores 3 points for being correct, and Hyla and maverick get 2 points each for choosing it. I decided that Bingley would get the higher of the points from guesses or being correct, I don't think he needs both (sorry Bingley).
So here are the names and votes (n) (not including votes for self) for the entries:

As previously mentioned, I am away from early next week so who next? Or give it a rest? It is a bit of work being quizmaster but quite fun.
