In his later years Mr. Nash lived on the NH seacoast and could often be seen at the neighborhood lunch counter swapping stories with the locals.
A short Nash poem: The Turtle
The turtle lives 'twixt plated decks
Which practically conceal its sex.
I think it clever of the turtle
In such a fix to be so fertile.
