Poetry should please by a fine excess and not by singularity. It should strike the reader as a wording of his own highest thoughts, and appear almost as a remembrance.

Does this mean..."Poetry should consist of "a small amount of frills" and not its uniqueness. and it should make the reader think that it came from him and make him think its from his memories."??
