In my youth, I built flip-flops with vacuum tubes (no joke!)

Just like classical/modern literateness, computer literateness is a wide-ranging, poorly defined, controversial, multidimensional affair, where amateurs are needlessly pitted agains professionals. Here too, we have critics, editors, collectors, undernourished lyricists (preferably in assembler ), essayists, professors, consumers, each with their own perspective. Thus I find it rather futile to assume a ranking system valid for everybody.
