I once spent a pleasurable half day with a bunch of Dunkirk survivors in an ex-serviceman's club in Slough listening to personal anecdotes about the rescue. It's blurred in my mind since with images from Mrs Miniver and Gracie Fields singing 'There'll Always be an England". Things could be worse. [Humming to himself and dipping into Pokorny's IEW.]
