OP Thanks for the links, wow! Very interesting indeed. I remember watching a special on the History of Sex. They told how women in the 1930's were encouraged to use Lysol as birth control. Of course, it didn't work and some women, in their desperation, ended up killing themselves with too strong a dosage. Very sad.
My favorite heroine on the subject is Margaret Sanger. What an intelligent, caring and courageous woman she was.
