[Dragging this thread back onto topic] Ok, why IS there a difference in the spelling? I note that Atomica gives forego as an alternate sp. of forgo. It also lists forewent! Could I say, for ex., "I drove to Michigan but I forewent to Indiana"? (Eww...)
