I once came across a Japanese restaurant in Thailand that had its menu written in French. An item that caught my attention was "beignets de croquettes de poison"! Yum, tasty! A killer dish, I'm sure! <- Awful comment, but it had to be made.

I thought it was interesting to find a French typo, on a Japanese menu, that was then funny in English. And in Thailand, too!

If we're talking blowfish, this may not have been a typoe, Silen . It was a Japanese restaurant, eh?

What are "beignets" by the way? I can suss that the last bit is meant to be fish-cakes.
