Dear tsuwm: I took a look at Beyond Blackstump, and it looks as though you are in good company. http://www.blackstump.com.au/

Well, tsuwm, you know the old adage: The only bad publicity is no publicity.

As a randomly selected representative of Oz (ie. the first one here today) I can safely say that I have *no idea! Had never heard of the Beyond the Black Stump site before.
I'm with Juan, all publicity is good publicity!

It's a good thing. There's also a (really bad) comic strip with the same name. I can't find it, but I did find this: http://members.tripod.com/~thisthat/slang.html

Good thing
Well, it lists the Queen Mother and the apocalypse. Seems fine to me.

>is your esteemed service as underused by K1W1s as this one?
I'd say yes -- currently there are 35 AUs and 8 NZs (out of say ~1300).

Inselpeter: try this phonetically: oz-tralia. I know nothing of the site, but certainly down here the mythical "black stump" is a place that is always far, far away. It is used to illustrate the magnitude of any item in question, eg: "It's the best deal you'll get this side of the black stump" or "She has the best legs this side of the black stump" etc etc etc.
