The definition of puzzle creator is all wet. A "cruciverbalist" is a disagreeable person who says nothing but cross words.

I put it here just to please ASp.

And a wise move that was, Dr. Bill, lest ye be Cleopatted yet again.

Careful, Dr. Bill, you might just end up turning this serpent into a pussy cat. And your alternate definition is inspired!

Meanwhile, I loved the intro to Anu's Word today: "Once in my life I was a Cleveland Indian... "

Ha! I have a Sri Lankan friend who has very dark skin. We were all at the beach in Zild, and without noticing it, Paul got very, very sunburned. For months afterwards, we referred to him as the Red Indian!

And Bill, I like your definition. But my first thought was that it should be someone who's always talking at cross-purposes. Now, where's that mirror?

Today's word is "sphaghetti western". Westerns used to be called "oaters" because the horses were more talented than the alleged cowboys. So Today's word should have been "Spaghetti O's" the kids love therm

I put this down here because it's so corny.
