OP (hoping this satisfies the wordies and the recipe-exchangers alike)
Faldage's phonetic musings elsewhere have inspired me to post a synæsthetic challenge: menus based on description of language - phonetics, structure, whatever puns well!
As a start:
main dish: chicken fricative
dessert: consonant clusters
For a cool treat: Froz-phrase.
In the salad: hearts of speech
Roasted pidgin covered with a phrasal sauce and cooked in portmanteau wine
Fresh fish and lobster from the Sapir Whorf
A note to our louder customers: At the dinner table, please refrain from chompskying
Written on the stall wall:
make the most of the all-you-can-eat buffet by beginning with a vowel movement
OP garnish du jour : parsely
fowl ala vowel...mmmmm!
It doesn't quite fit here, but can anyone give me a good diuretic recipee?
Knife, fork, spoonerism...
