endymion, you are a person of great taste, sans doute - the Barbera of Piemonte is a wonderful wine - and the Barbera d'Asti is very close behind it. Cheers!

and, of course, the GALLON takes an E, which makes is so laid back and happy that it becomes a

Thanks for the kind words, Rhubarb ... I tried Anglo- and Gaol- and other approaches to try to fill the hull of your craft with something other than Chat.Thames Embankment ... Leider, ohne Erfolg ... but your comments inspire an

GREATLY when he played for the Barons but (L>D)

TRAGEDY was Jim Piersall's stock-in-trade.

In retrospect I think that the year Piersall played for the Birmingham Barons he was just having fun.

I like my pecorino cheese

GRATED

I met Jim Piersall (#37 with the Bosox) a few years ago; he was very kind, esp. when I told him my mother's cousin had been his first 'best man' (he married Mary Teevan when he was in Class A about 50 yrs back)...what a centerfielder!
