Following that line, "Jingoism" is a word used in the UK to express that.

'Jingoism' a wonderful word. I just LIU

A very British word. Of course I had heard the oath 'by jingo' but had not connected it. And its link to the French word 'Chauvinism'
.... that of malice to a particular group.
