With the release of the first two words out this week....the only theme I can come up with is ~ words that contain 5 vowels! But then the next three had me thinking and thinking...... I have sent in something....all but one word fitted my theory, but I twisted that one in too..... tomorrow will tell

With all you had going on this week, I am amazed you had time to try to figure it out. I gave it a whirl, but was left with nothing.

for those who don't get the weekly mail, or don't know how to find it in the archives (or didn't figure it out for themselves!); the theme was "three consecutive letters from the alphabet appearing consecutively". (his wording, not mine.)
as per usual (all of?) Anu's puzzle(s) had to do with Form, not Function.

Looks like I should have gone with my first instinct This was my entry..... I think they are all drink related, as in WINE~indulgence Oenophile~made it their business to know about wine from the flavour....they sip and spit so as to not get intoxicated. Interstitial~pause, break between, pace.... between drinks. Stupefy ~ again with alcohol, this time too much. Defalcate~misuse, over indulge, stupefy. Somnolence~all may be effected this way, the Oenophile after enjoying a 'few', the Interstitial even though only 'had a few', the Stupefy has had a 'few too many', and now Somnolence~needing a 'few' ZZZZZZ's now. I put tooooo much thought into it LOL re...olly ~ Kiwi's rule.

No, because Candy recommended it, and she's born Kiwi and live in Oz, and I thought those of you down under would recognize it correspondingly. Guess not.

Have seen Rabbit Proof Fence. Very sad. S & D is a story of two teens (about 19) and the first 20 minutes of the movie shows them listening to Aboriginal music and repeating the tedium of their lives while doing their best to ignore each other. She cares for her aged grandmother, he gets in trouble and sniffs petrol. Circumstances throw them together into a city situation which worsens their lot. She is molested, he is addicted. They go back home worse than they left. Very sad as well.

It was so depressing, when I first saw it, I wasn't sure if I liked it. Now I think its a 'must see' movie. Its a first for Aboriginal writer/producer.

Well, if it's a first it is very well done, and the producer et.al., deserve acclaim.

in your preferences, there are two choices for 'Topic Display Mode': Flat or Threaded.
if you display in Threaded mode, you can see the 'structure' of the forum threads, and thus see which post each new post was in response to; i.e., which post you were reading when you hit the Reply button.
in Flat mode, the posts are simply listed chronologically and sometimes, if there's no context (like, a quote) it's hard to tell what the referent is. in the Title line there is a Re: [user ID], but you can't always trust that because some folks tend to reply to the *bottom post, rather than a specific one. (or two people post at the same time.)
so, in this instance there were posts on movies A, A & B, B and this, "it was so depressing.."
thus: which? it's hard to tell what you refer to in flat mode, without context. (I guessed B, since I've seen that, but don't know its provenance.)

OK Ts...I see how your confusion started but really it wasn't that complicated, I was just following the post ahead of mine. Now, I've played with the button you pointed out 'Threaded Mode' etc.... I am back to my usual format. I read all the new posts from when I last on, some I leave comment, some I don't.
