The latest update to the OED Online was in March. Not all of these words were added. A quick search in the OED Online for some of these words gets no entries for NSFW, overshare, permalink, unfollow, man flu, insidery.

"buncha" doesn't have an entry, but it is in a few of the citations.

Kittens do not peep and baby chicks do not meep. OK? Em--my use of peeps was a possibly-too-subtle reference back to a couple or so years ago when peeps made it into the dictionary. Nothing to do with meeps.

It's the kittens that meep according to the list.

I'm sorry if I read your subject line to imply that peeps was out and had been replaced by meeps. To make matters worse I was reading peeps in its sense as a shortening of people.

Is meep derived from the sound of The Road Runner?

A) Baby chicks is as opposed to adolescent chicks. There are no adult chicks, Mr. Smartyboots. And if there were they wouldn't meep either; they would cluck.

2) Some think, yes, meep is derived from the sound of the Road Runner. Others think it is echoic and was only popularized by the Road Runner.
