methuselah: 1. An extremely old man. 2. An oversized wine bottle holding approx. 6 liters.

Language is a limitless source of amusement. Considering these definitions I was thinking of them as possible synonyms. ( only the contents might be a few liters more) (or less)

Does anyone remember the band Methuselah from the 60's? They had one record. Later they morphed into Amazing Blondel

melchior
The one in the middle must be the melchior (18 liters) the one on the right the methusala. I guess it needs a Goliath to pour from that melchior.

he said music was the food of love and a good mujhra seems to get people in the mood for something not unconnected to love so he might have been right.

The song:

"
Methus'lah lived nine hundred years
Methus'lah lived nine hundred years
But who calls dat livin' when no gal'll give in
To no man what's nine hundred years

I'm preachin' dis sermon to show
..................
It ain't necessarily so "
