I'll take "H" even as it *sounds similar to a different creative def. in a previous episode.

Bummer I missed my chance to play "submit a definition".

I choose "I", too.

A FRIEND WRITES:
Dear Hogmaster: will you please transfer my selected definition to the Hogwash thread as I am reserving my 1,000th post for my acceptance speech for winning this latest Hogwash game. I know that my selection is correct in that my own entry was somewhat similar and as such was not posted by you for that very reason.
Let it be known that me, themilum, votes "K". "K" as in "kenodoxy"

NIGHT LIFE
BLUE NOTE (131 West 3rd Street New York, NY 10012, 212-475-8592), Percy Walker and the Shelby Footmen perform Friday and Saturday. House band Split Enzfinitives holds forth on Monday and Tuesday. Wednesday, well-traveled rockers Condi Nasty bring their unique blend of punk, ska and bluegrass. Thursday marks the return of Dr. Bill and the Bouncing Czechs.

NORTHSIX (66 N. 6th St., Williamsburg, Brooklyn, 718-599-5103) Friday, the Texas combo Gorgeous George and the Moral Dilemmas deliver their trademark blend of bombast and simplicity. Satuday, Chapel Hill indie darlings Four-Minute Milum celebrate the release of their latest CD The Fandom Tollhouse Cookie. Monday, Park Slope favorite sons Spackle Fetish mark their return from a three-month tour of Germany.

Alex,

I know that this goes against the very grain of the fine traditions and hearty comradery of the Great Game of Hogwash; but, will you allow me to rescind my vote for k?

Well, now that Milo has stuck his foot in it again, I'll cast my vote. Rather than voting for the correct answer (after all, how boring is that?) and since it has already gotten at least one vote anyway, I'll cast my vote for what I think is the most creative of the daffynitions. I do like E, but it has certain structural problems that preclude my voting for it. H is also good, almost good enough to vote for, but I think I'll go with the swing vote, D.

My general approach to Hogwash is that the points don't matter and everybody wins, so as long as you don't vote for F, which is the actual definition, then you may either change your vote or simply cast another vote. This latter option requires that you send me graft via PayPal to the tune of $20. PM me for details.

not only is J not the correct answer but also nor is F (and most definitely not K).

Are you asking me what ska is? Or are you merely doubting that any band could combined ska, punk and bluegrass? (Of course the band names and their styles were all just made up as a lame joke, so it doesn't matter.)

Forgive me. I have lied.
I only wanted my 1,000th post on AWAD to be a winner.

Yeah, so I lied and tried to trick people into voting for my definition in Alex's game of Hogwash.
Now instead, this, my 1,000th post, is being used to grovel and to ask my fellow Adwaders to forgive me for my indiscretions and to openly beg that you all who haven't voted will now vote for my submission "B".

No, "B" is not the correct answer, I don't know the correct answer. But now with hat in hand I ask all those whom I have tried to trick to vote for my entry "B" anyway. Especially you people who are relatively new to Hogwash. All you do is post a "B" on this thread and maybe, just maybe, I can thereby re-gain a modicum of self-respect.

And your wonderful act of kindness will always be with me as I begin a new life.

Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for voting "B".

Milo

Now Faldage, you must "B" careful, some people might not realize the obscure nuance of your remarks. So now please "B" a good sport and play the game b-befitting your high station. Some new folk here might be intimidated by your bombastic style.

Say, new folk, are you intiminated by the bombast of the Faldage?

Ha! I thought not.

(F) sounded good to me, the musically challenged and un-educated, but there are too many musical folks here, so it would be too obvious.

I'm voting C because it's cutesy.

Well even a punk and bluegrass combination sounds far-flung [like Devo on cider jugs?], but for ska this was just a case of being too lazy to look the thing up and that is just wrong.

How are you to know what is an underhanded ploy?
If you throw your ploys overhanded you can get more speed and much sharper break.
