1) should be STITCH, so it may be worth looking over where that N came from again.

Yea, it's stitch, I misread my own handwriting and thought "n" for "h".. thanks everybody.

It's a lipstick size glue delivery system. The glue is in a kind of waxy form. Doesn't sharpen too good, though. Glue SticI stole the line from Jon Stewart in Wordplay.
