Thank you Connie and Jackie and mmwha mmwha back at ya.
Actually, it's not so much a "honey do list" as a guilt trip.

A realistic list only has three "things" at a time (possibly a fourth as an alternative or as a 'do-this-and-forget-the-other-three' item), no specific completion order (unless they make prerequisitive *sense) and a flexible turn-around time (ergo the realism). Anything else would eventually be decivilized.

1. Think of important stuff to do and put it on a list.
2. Misplace list.
3. Think of important stuff to do and put it on another list.
4. Misplace other list.
5. Do important stuff.
6. Find both lists and discover how much of what one wrote down was really important enough to do in the first (or second) place.

Ko-Ko:
As someday it may happen that a victim must be found, I've got a little list -- I've got a little list Of society offenders who might well be underground And who never would be missed -- who never would be missed! There's the pestilential nuisances who write for autographs -- All people who have flabby hands and irritating laughs -- All children who are up in dates, and floor you with 'em flat -- All persons who in shaking hand, shake hands with you like that -- And all third persons who on spoiling tete-a-tetes insist -- They'd none of 'em be missed -- they'd none of 'em be missed!
Chorus of Men:
He's got 'em on the list -- he's got 'em on the list; And they'll none of 'em be missed -- they'll none of 'em be missed!

[chorus to third verse]
...but it really doesn't matter what you put upon the list, for they'll none of it be missed - they'll none..of..it..be..missed!
