Interesting. There was nothing on that page that I could not understand, with only my rudimentary grasp of Hindi. It does show that at the everyday level, "hindustani" is alive and well. If you come across any links that highlight differences between the various vflavours of desi English, do let me know, mav-ji!

Yes, there are about three or four blogs I read fairly regularly including languagelog, languagehat, and then a selection of more occasional ones.
