What links a town in Germany to an African epidemic?

This was a story I missed in the actual magazine:

http://www.newscientist.com/article.ns?id=dn7073

But the latest is, it’ s OK to eat them, just make sure they’re cooked…!

People who eat cooked monkey meat are not necessarily at risk, since heat destroys the virus. But those who hunt and butcher the animals and handle the raw meat run a high risk of infection if the animal was sick.

(since March 21st: 266 cases, 244 deaths and counting…)

Oh, wonderful; just wonderful. Hey, now here's a practical reason we first-worlds ought to band together and help the third world: if we don't want to do it out of generosity, perhaps we could do it for self-preservation.

Word question: I noticed that the first article used the phrase non-human primates; are there human primates?

So true, dixbie. All humans are primate, but some are more primate than others. (sorry, Aldous)

I've often wondered - if the church has cardinals, does it also have ordinals?

Anna, don't you mean "sorry George"?

No, dog is numberless. Apart from 42.

Elizabeth, don't you mean Eric?
