Well this one was indeed fun! What do you say we give a week for voting? Votes due a week from the time of posting this message.

A. persons who are able to enter a sleep-like state at will, also being able to revive themselves at will. "Bob found out one day that he was one of the somnae - he blinked during a boring meeting and when he opened his eyes, he was back at his desk."

B. more than one sleeping female

C. A psychological condition characterized by the perception of reality as though one were in a dream state.

D. The person who passes out first at an orgy.

E. those who have left a school, college or university after failing to complete their studies there.

F. An especially large or famous lingam. (from Skt. somnath, one such lingam, and associated temple)

G. Dreams of a particularly gruesome nature; see nightmare.

H. naps (noun)

I. the proverbial bed(s) you have made, but not yet slept in

J. nap, doze (verb intr.)

K. A bedside table

L. Specialists involved in the study of wine. Connoisseurs of specific wine regions.

M. sleeping together

N. the first two words of the person waiting for the automated film developing machine to complete its job:
"Somnae my prints will come."

O. Scottish regional slang. Archaic but still used for poetry containing dialect. Amalgamation of the personal "some (body)" and "nae" meaning no - so "nobody" or "some do not". Opposite of Somdae"

Example: "Somnae whish tae git awae wit 'ye"

P. Female victims of vampirism, caught between the worlds of the living and living dead. First mentioned in the German cult film Loranthaceae and Viscaceae, 1987.

Freedom really is just another word for nothing left to lose, so I shall revel in my traditional freedom, and cast the first stone, aiming to hit number 5.

Egad! The above no longer makes much sense, does it now?

Oh, POO! I just realized taht I numbered the entries rather than using letters. And most people seemed in the past to have fun using the letters. Want me to change the post?

I really like O, if only for its abject refusal to be crammed into the armillary. Man! There's so many good ones that were crammed in. I'll go for the one that just skirts the edges and vote P.

Grrrr. You people frustrate me...I'm teetering between finding them all possible and finding them all improbable. I can't decide. I'll have to think on them some more.
