This one wasn't poetic, but it took a huge weight off my shoulders. It assured me that I "no longer had to cross the border" to get cheap prescription drugs. Since it's been a while since I was up to swimming 2,000 kilometres, I was enormously relievd to hear this.

Re: hyena lacuna checklist marvel. "Could someone provide the story please?"

I know it sounds like a lipstick, but it actually makes some kind of sense.

Anatomically, a "lacuna" is "an empty space or a missing part".

Metaphorically, "lacuna" is missing grey matter, or simply "ignorance".

"Hyena" rhymes with "lacuna" but it also conjures up "laughing hyena".

Hyenas don't actually laugh. They are too empty-handed to laugh. And some people lacking in grey matter have more in common with hyenas than their laugh.

Hence, "hyena lacuna".

It is not a compliment.

The term "hyena lacuna" may spring to mind the next time someone sends you a reply beginning "LOL", particularly if you haven't said anything funny.

"checklist marvel" is just some archive somewhere, I suspect.

I found the lovely AnnaS's discovery to be particularly interesting since, Flagstaff, located in the American southwest, might be expected to have many examples of the adobe architecture so often accompanied by those quaint red-tiled roofs. On the contrary, whether due to the climate or the history, there was little, if any Hispano-American influence and there are few, if any, buildings of that nature.

but I gotta post this one:

Plethora B. Distastefully

~~
A double-dactyl this is not. But I can see it as a lyric in a G&S light opera/band candy sale/car wash event.

Edit:

These are just too good:

Impenetrably T. Hostesses

Economists K. Nominatives

(somebody restrain me!)
