Just a little nit here to keep in practice. The caber, a pole approxiamtely 150 lbs and from 17 to 25 feet long is not thrown for distance; it picked up and flipped. The ideal is to have the end that was in your hands when you picked it up pointing directly away from you. For details see http://www.crieff-highland-games.co.uk/caber.html
