OP A little something to brighten your day. Oh, and a very Happy Easter to all. And to residents of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts - a very happy Patriots Day holiday on Monday. And good luck to all the Boston Marathon runners.
BOON ISLAND SECEDES FROM THE NATION
(From SeacoastNH.com)
"Nobody loves me, everybody hates me,
I'm going to eat some worms."
Poor Boon Island, the home of Maine's tallest
lighthouse; it's been abandoned by the Coast Guard,
unsupported by the state and shunted back and forth
between unloving towns of Kittery and York Maine.
At last it has been adopted and leased by the American Lighthouse Foundation.
Recently this wild and crazy group created the sovereign
Republic of Boon Island. We were there for the historic
moment, taking pix and eating the free sandwiches.
You too can become a citizen - or even the President.
Then you can levy taxes, declare war and have your own intern.

takes you to the story - with pictures!
That's a great story, wow!
And happy spring festivals of any and all ilk to everyone.
I think DC should secede. It would be, um, fitting.

I'd forgotten about them. What a dag ... Are they really still going? I must google around a bit ..

Bingley
Bingley
There can be a serious side to silliness like this.

But, you would have to agree, good information for USns not wanting to live in the New Dark Age!
OP Dear Bingley... no rhyme or reason ! Just a funny way my computer sent it off to the Board. Several missives went off that way...then suddenly it went back to the ordinary way. As I said, no rhyme or reason. Tra La!
OP This is my second try at answering Bingley.
The first answer-post just disappeared! ???
EDIT : Wait! there it is... right above this answer - it wasn't there yesterday or this morning when I first looked. You are now entering the Twilight Zone..."
There is no rhyme or reason to the way the post was "metered." It just came out that way. For some reason my notes all went that way for awhile then - as suddenly as it started - it stopped.
