isallotherm line connecting points of equal change in temperature isallobar line connecting points of equal change in barometric pressure isanemone line connecting points on map having same wind velocity above three definitions fron Forthright's Phronistery
isentropic - taking place without change of the amount of energy in a system not available for doing work
isepiptesis - as far as I can tell, this is a nonsense word from a really screwy site. I think Scripps-Howard should be ashamed of listing such garbage.
I spent enough time on this, I'm going to quit for a while.
Incidentally, I'll bet few members ever read the Uncle Wiggley stories about the Pipsisewah and the Skeezix trying to catch Uncle Wiggley and eat his souse. Bet you don't know what "souse" is. And you'll have to PM me to find out. Or else look it up in dictionary.

well, it could be his petticoat, but don't think they'd want to eat that.. could be the outer ring on his archery target, but that doesn't sound too appetizing either.. pickled herring?? <ecch>

Double yuck: pickled ears, in the child's story book. Dic;tionary mentions other things equally revolting. souse 1 n. 5ME sows < OFr souz < OHG sulza, brine, akin to salz, SALT6 1 a pickled food, esp. the feet, ears, and head of a pig 2 liquid used for pickling; brine 3 the act of plunging into a liquid, esp. into brine for pickling >4 [Slang] a drunkard vt., vi. soused, sous4ing 1 to pickle 2 to plunge or steep in a liquid
Dear tsuwm: the only place Yahoo! Search found that word was in a site so weird I could not think it anything but garbage. Kudos for your searching talent.

bill, your mail server indicates your mailbox is full; so since you didn't get your daily wwftd, here it is:
the worthless word for the day is: isepiptesis
(eye-sep-e(p)-tee'-sis) [rare] a line on a map or chart connecting localitites reached at one date by different individuals of a species of migratory bird (an isochronal line)
NL, from is- + epi- + Gr. ptesis, flight
(with an assist to Bill Hunt)

Bill, I'd guess anyone from the South would know what souse meat is. I've seen it made and it's a fascinating process carried out with TLC. I've had souse and, for those of us who are not squeamish in our tastes, it's actually pretty good.

So you think the Skeezix and the Pipsissewa had a good reason to want to eat Uncle Wiggley"s souse? I wonder if any kids today read those stories. I liked the Uncle Remus stories far better. My promblem with Netscape mail was not a full mailbox. I had been deleting them, but without my knowing it, they were going into a trash box. That's what was full. I love error messates that are errors. The only reason I'm using the new address is that Yahoo fouled up my other address, and only error message I get is I haven't entered by identity, which is not so. Bastards. You should see the form they want me to fill out. Like income tax.

We had an Uncle Wiggley game, which was a particular favorite for its clever sayings on the cards.
The Pipsissewa looked like a giant, scary squid, didn't it?
