I personally wish the beautiful white stuff would stick to
pictures on calendars, or at least come in color after the
first two or three snowfalls each season. White is so boring.

I guess if the glass is half full.....
But I agree with tsuwm, if only it would stay white. Maybe high in the
mountains???Here in the city it is already chunked up into large piles
of white, by the plows, taking whatever they put down first like sand
and other gravelly thingies. Next it will be blackish and brownish, and
will sit for days on end, 'even unto the next generation' (of snow fall).
There are piles of it now that will be here until April. Oh ye of
the lands where it falls beautifully and watch it melt only to have it
fall again: rejoice, ye, that ye live not in the Missouri basin.
