I've seen this abbreviation and I assume it is a variant of Hi-Fi, but I don't know exactly what it means. Anyone?

I happened to see this term for the first time today, myself. It was in an article discussing the lack of accessible ports for mobile computers. I just skimmed the article, so don't hang me if I got the details wrong.  I also remember something about computers built into future cars. My first reaction to that, was WooHoo! Then, I couldn't help but think how Really Dangerous that could turn out to be!
