Hmm, eta, you may be on to something. How about a poll? Who finds triple-time more compelling--DAH da da; or four-four beats--DAH da dah da? If we get a clear majority one way or the other, maybe that will give us a clue.
I was thinking that "natural rhythms" might be related to the heartbeat we hear in the womb, but. For me, that triple time beat is "IT", and I don't think hearts beat that way!
