a news report mentioned a town i was unfamiliar with-- It spoke of the town of Newcastle-- Later i realized they meant New Cassel--(a town i did know from street signs)

i realized that Castle and Cassel i would say as cas'l (one sylable)as Cas sel(2 sylables). I don't know which is right for the town name (i don't trust news reporters to get it right)-- but how would you say New Cassel?
