I was rummaging through about sixty hundred thousand slips of paper, notes, matchbooks, looking for a quote (I found it) when I stumbled on a pice of paper with these words which I think I may have coined (allegedly)
Aquarunning© = using weights to run in place while submerged to neck in water.
Graphotherapy© = getting rid of stress/anger by writing it all down then tearing up the paper.
and my very favorite :
Anticipointment © = disappointment caused when something anticipated doesn't materialize.

OK, I am open to comment.
Have at it.

You got aquarunning (http://www.aquarunning.com/home.htm) and anticipointment (http://www.wordspy.com/words/anticipointment.asp) right but slipped a little on graphotherapy (http://www.ahigherperspective.com/graph.html)

There you go bursting my pretty baloons again my Keeper of the Thyrsus. Sheeeesh!

Ok, I am not disappointed about two words but since my Favorite "anticipointment" was on a slip of paper dated 1988, and the link gave no date of first use .... well !
Or "Oh,well." as the case may be. Sigh.

No thanks. I prefer my happy state of ignorant bliss. That word is mine, mine, mine, you hear me? Mine!
So there, too. (strewing flowers in my own path I go off in delightful unconcern ignoring all who disagree) no offence, Faldage! -- I am just in a mood. It's bloody snowing AGAIN!

wow, I'll give you anticipointment fer shure....not knowing anything about it! but I am feeling some anticipointment at the moment, having hoped to hear from someone I emailed late last night - and he hasn't written or phoned....yet.

Damn this anticipointment!

Edit, same evening: Ahhh. Anticipointment no more. Finally had an email from him. Hurrah!

So...wait a minute. Seeing as I finally did hear from him, does this mean that what I was feeling before doesn't count as anticipointment? because it didn't last?

I made one as a typo the other day, and I really think it ought to mean something: nowever.

I like it! The definition should oughta be interesting. Maybe we need a Hogwash® type contest to define it. Definitions will be accepted by PM for the traditional sennight.

And what, pray tell, is the non-traditional sennight?

Ahem. You could be exiled to the West Island, you know.

Wow - you really know how to terrify someone, don't you? Just the idea of being on the same conntinent as my mother is enough to have me screaming in a cold sweat of fear. I promise I'll behave, just don't make me live on that side of the Tasman.

Just for the record, I imagine the non-traditional sennight is whatever period of time it pleases tsuwm to pull together any given step of Hogwash®.

Thank you. And may I assure you, though some may indicate otherwise, there is no malice of conspiratorial aforethought here. etc :)

"Anticipointment" sounds like the anticipation of disappointment, like the feeling I get before most movies.

No No dear one!
It's like - well- a friend makes a date with you and you anticipated having a fun evening then the date is cancelled.
You had anticipated a good evening and been disappointed because of the cancellation.
So it would work with your movie example but only if you'd anticipated a good movie!
