At forty mph on my trusty Raleigh headed for Harvard Square, I passed a church with a
glassed in bulletin board for inspirational quotations. In a camera-shutter blink I read
a motto I have lived by ever since. It was attributed to Booker T. Washington, a very gifted
black educator of a hundred years ago. I have not been able to confirm the attribution.
"Cheating is a confession of inferiority which I do not choose to make."
fabulous quote, Bill. thanks.

What's a "double X bonus"?
And yeah, I like that quote too. A lot.
Double X. = XX = extra X. Trumping Wordsmith's ace, or something. Anything to make a post.
Thank you both for your kind words.
I keep thinking about this quote and how appropriate it will be to use in school. I spend a lot of time trying to convince kids that they need to have personal pride about the work that they do, and the things that they put their name on.
maybe one or two kids will take this to heart.

While I love the sentiment of the quote, should it not be, linguistically-correctly...
"Cheating is a confession of inferiority which I choose not to make."
