It's hard for us gringos to do it, but think of that semiconsonantal <y> sound, the one that's just far enough away from being a vowel that we would say "a yogurt" rather than "an yogurt" and put that sound on the end of the word. This is if you want to pronounce the name in Russian. For purposes of speaking with other gringos, your pronunciation is just fine.
