Have a great birthday, etaoin! Immerse yourself in hobbity conviviality! (Did anyone partake of any of the pub celebrations for Tolkien mentioned in the article?)

Arright, Eta! Where's the Swan come in relative to the baritone solos? Will you have a chance to build up their expectations before you blast them with the c-t?

thanks! yes, there are a couple of baritone solos before, including immediately preceding the tenor, and a couple after, including immediately! people should be quite surprised when the first Swan note flies out! it should be great fun, and the conductor is fabulous, and I'm really looking forward to it.

Eta! Happy birthday. If y'all were performing this in less inclement weather, we'd be up there in a flash. Break a vocal cord.

Spent your birthday shovelling snow did ya? We sure did around seacoast! Three inches an hour for eight hours. Then a little shower of snow that night just for fun. Mother nature is sure celebrating your birthday! Suggest you do as I do - celebrate the rest of the month! Hau'oli la hanau! And many happy returns of the day. Aloha

And here in wintery Colorado, I just got back a few minutes ago from taking Theo to Cub Scouts, arriving back home about two hours after sunset. I was quite comfortable in shorts, sandals, and a t-shirt, and tomorrow is supposed to be even warmer, pushing 75!
Go figure!

The weather in ild has been a little odd, too. Up in the South Island, on December 27th, one little town recorded an air temperature of -2 Celsius - unbelievable! Three days later, less than 150k away, another town record 36.2C. Weird.

Nope, he's 54, if we answer the ultimate question in base 10, as opposed to base 13.
