Forget what English dictionaries have to say about Latin words, that way lies madness. Here are the basic definitions discussed above:
aboleo -ere -evi -itum [to destroy , do away with].
abolesco -ere -evi [to perish].
abolitio -onis f. [removing , annulling, abolition].
