I have an idea that "Sox" as part of name of pro baseball teams is just about the
only way I ever see it, or use it. My dictionary says only "alternative spelling of socks".
Of course it reminded me of cox, and in coxswain, and fox. And "lox and bagel".And box
And pox and vox.Pyx. The shorts are getting too long.
