A very popular scrabble/boggle word. I keep forgetting what it means, though!

"Torr" with two Rs is another one I see a lot

I think very few of us who play these words actually know what they mean. In fact, the scrabble site says that many pro scrabblers consider definitions to be a waste of brain space. OTOH, some people think it's cheating to play words the meanings of which you don't know.

Which might go a long way towards explaining the negative correlation between ability to win at Scrabble® and ability to do crossword puzzles.

I thought a tor was a smallish mountain/hill. As to Torr, I haven't a clue
