Being inert means that the material can be used for such things as replacing the common bile duct.
Ordinary rubber would cause trouble, and wouldn't last, either. So opposite of inert would be
irritating.

I'm really going to bed now. Your list is a good one.

It would be very nice to wake up tomorrow and to find here what the opposite of inert is.

Is there a dictionary site that provides opposites of words?
