Exoteric is easy. So is esoteric. But I found "isoteric" in a number of sites, but could nowhere
find its definition. Can you? In some of the science sites, it seemed likely that it referred to
proteins having some molecules arranged in different groupings.

Nope, no isoteric in OneLook.com, but I found a first cousin:

"isosteric.
Having identical valence electron configurations. "

Maybe isoteric means that it is understood by half of the people, and the other half find it over their heads...

Or maybe it means that everyone misunderstands it equally!

I like it, Bean!

Research has shown that the -ter- part of esoteric and exoteric comes from the Greek lexeme for comparison. Thus esoteric is more inner and exoteric is more outer. Isoteric is more equal?

Isoteric is more equal

Sounds Orwellian to me.
