CapK's comments may sound a little unsympathetic, but I wholeheartedly endorse the thrust of them. Many of my friends have put off plans to visit Bali in the last few months, because anybody who bothers to read anything could have seen this coming a mile away. I too am genuinely sorry for those who are grieving, but that doesn't change the fact that visiting Bali (or anywhere else in the Indonesian empire) has been very high on the list of spectacularly unsound holiday choices for a very long time.
