i think they also include them in subscription copies, because many subscription copies go to places like libraries, or doctors offices, or other places that are not individuals homes, and they want readers in these place to subscribe too.

blow ins are the worst, since they just fall out.

i suppose they do it, because a significant percentage lead to new subscriptions.
