Hillbilly heroin Oxycontin, the trade name for an extended-release version of the generic opiate Oxycodone, which is also the mild narcotic found in Percocet (Oxycodone + Tylenol). The term Hillbilly heroin arose because there is a problem with addiction (and all its related criminal activity) to the drug among people in the Appalachian areas of West Virginia and Kentucky, Hillbilly being the derogatory term for this group of persons.
