Pop songs are notorious for bad grammar. The last line of this oldie seem to me
to mean just the opposite of the words:
I've got spurs that
jingle, jangel, jingle
As I go riding merrily along.
And they sing, "Oh, ain't you
glad you're single?"
And that song ain't
so very far from wrong.
