Thanks, Fiberbabe and Rubrick (great info, R!). I always squirm when I can't remember someone's name I feel I SHOULD remember - Annie Sullivan was sooo important to Helen Keller, I was mortified not to be able to remember her name.

I get the same feeling when I realize I don't know the names of all the women who were shot down in Montreal at the polytechnic all those years ago (1989, I think it was), just for being women, and remember, with deep chagrin, that I do know the name of their killer. Very icky feeling. I want to remember good and important people - not their killers. Thank God my memory has somehow subdued or erased the name of John Lennon's killer - please nobody remind me!
