Seriously, what are the medical terms for "a pain in the neck"?
Seems it would be useful to have a more precise, if not more eloquent, expression for both the malady and the person/ situation in question.
WW
P.S. I'd really like to know so I can tell my nurse that she's one in terms she can understand.
nuchal
a. pertaining to nape of neck; n. such bone, etc. nuchalgia, n. pain in nape.
Well, wwh, this was worth starting just to get the expression, "pain in the nape." Ha!
Thanks,
WW
P.S. If you think of any others, great.
How do you pronounce "nuchal" and "nuchalgia"?
Nooch al?
Nook al?
Nyooch al?
Nyook al?
nuchal = new' kal
My friend is always complaining about her "cervicale".
