It has been suggested by Rubrick, and seconded in a PM to me by another poster, that Demented Dictionary be pulled together and published some time....What fun! But I just tried to PM AnnaStrophic, who might know all about that stuff (isn't that her metier? Asp, are you there?!), and her PM function is switched off.....Perhaps someone who knows her could see if this might fly? What a treat it would be - a globally-authored book! by us folks at AWADtalk!

well, it could be a short book, or nice long article.. about the game, the kinds of word pairs found, the personalities, and the kinds of word pairs they found and their definations...

I'll send an email to AnnaStrophic, and tell here to check out this thread..

Oh my goodness, what a wonderful idea! Just think of all the fun we could have with the word "sheep"...

we have scots, kiwi's, aussies, and welshmen, and brits on this board.. the scots tell sheep jokes that feature kiwi's, the kiwi's tell the same jokes about aussies, the aussies tell the same jokes about welshmen, and the welshmen feature brits, and the brits, tell jokes about the scots.. and the sheep always fair poorly in any of the jokes.

Cap't Kiwi has also told some stories about his bottle feed lamb, that grew up and learned to swig beer from bottles --

CK's sheep was like one some of the sheep featured in Monty Pythons episodes.. wily, and clever... one of the breed of dangerous sheep

and as for many of us, the men tell us, "ewe's not fat, ewe's fluffy".

some how, sheep are as enduring a topic as food or beer...
(oh, dear is that a good formula? classic formula for a best sellers in US always feature Dogs, Presidents or Foods(usually dietbooks, not cookbooks)

well, i heard it about Montana--
what are the three most common lies in montana?
1 a man points to a tract of land and says "this is my spread, as far as you can see!"
2 a man point to a pick up, and says "My truck is paid for!"
3 a man caught with a sheep says "i was just helping it over the fence..."

never really associated Ark-can-saw with much with sheep!

hmm, something to consider....

It ain't that easy, MG. There aren't many references to sheep at the top of the pages!

Now if we get to cheat then it'll be a lot easier......
