On the off chance that rodward is wandering around in this desert somewhere, Happy Belated Birthday. Satin, just because you received your birthday wishes and hugs in person doesn't mean you shouldn't have some here as well. Happy Birthday, my sweetie. MG, although we didn't take real well to each other at first, babe, I gotta tell ya that you are growing on me and I hope you had a smashing birthday. Um, not the car tho'. Today was my son's birthday and I got to spend it with him. Oh, joy.  We went bowling. I suck at bowling but we had more fun together, just him and me, than you can imagine.

thank you, consuelo! Actually, I am having a rather "smashing" time to do with my car - not in the good way but not in the worst way, either (ie, not literally smashing...). We have to renew our licence plate stickers on our birthdays. My renewal is being held up because some officious moron at City Hall issued me with a parking ticket, back in September, although he had no right to do so (he was with the transit authority, who may only ticket cars parked at bus stops, and I was nowhere near one, so he had to make up a charge - "blocking traffic," which I wasn't). It's a long story, but the ticket was supposed to have been cancelled loooong ago. The fact that it wasn't is now causing me considerable grief. I am going to start taking hostages.  Let us go in peace to love and serve the board.
