Anna, to put it more clearly, while he was looking for similar words in composing his definition, Max accidentally looked up the word spagyricus. He then voted for the correct definition. Perhaps I'm wrong but I think that although it's legitimate to vote on a word that you happen to already know, looking up a word once it's been posted disqualifies you from voting in that round.
