I had another good question sent to me the other day; the writer wondered if I could go on here under another name, so that people could know when I'm speaking as the administrator, and when as just me.

I don't think so, for two reasons:
1.) For me, personally, signing on with another name seems underhanded; though I know not everyone's reason is, it just would seem that way to me. Now, the more important reason:

2.) Mostly, I AM "just me". I have tried to make it abundantly clear when I am speaking as the admin., and I will try to specify that in the future--if I ever have to do anything again.

I stayed out of the "rules" threads, just out of the fear that anything I said might have been construed as some kind of mandate "from on high". I would like to go on record as saying that if I make suggestions in the future, unless it is clearly indicated that "the administrator" is speaking, whatever I say is to be considered just that--a suggestion only, from just a regular member. This is what I have always done, and is the way I plan to continue. For example, if a post contains language that is offensive to me, I might make a post saying so. That is not to be taken, at all, to mean, "Conform to my wishes or else". Not at all.

People will always have their differences; I also know that there are times when people just need to "get things off their chests". I have understood and allowed this, and I intend to keep right on doing that.    99% of the people who post here have consistently voluntarily ended their unpleasantness, and I have every reason to believe that that will continue; so, I am fervently hoping to effectively retire (though not resign). Thank you for your time, all. Oh--please--if anyone has the slightest doubt of what my intentions are, please send to me and ask. I really am not an ogre. (Ogress?)
